The monitor has come a long way from the original bulky TV style from the 1980's onwards. Monitors used to be television style with large desk footprints, displays that aren't very bright and low resolutions for displaying information.
New flat screen (TFT) monitors are much more suited to modern working practices and the way people use PC's. With much brighter displays, higher resolutions for displaying more content, better power consumption and improved glare reduction they provide a better platform for business use. As well as this they use a fraction of the space - this allows better positioning for display screen use (as per HSE guidelines) and the chance to reclaim some desk space!
TFT monitors start from around £85 and range in size from 17" upwards and include both standard and widescreen versions. Most have connectors to support all types of PC output - if not there is a converter to easily support it. Call 0845 521 2406 to talk to one of our engineers.
